For the 2026 high school field hockey season, NFHS banned non-functional mouthguard attachments, tightened goalkeeper subs before a penalty corner, and moved the early-circle penalty onto the inserter. No new gear if the mouthguard is already plain. Check with the coach that protectors have no decorative add-ons before the next game.
