Extension is the highest standard stunt. Bases get the position right or it collapses.

Equipment needed: Mat space, two bases.

Setup: Both bases facing each other, slightly closer than shoulder-width.

How to run it:

  1. Bases dip into a quarter squat.
  2. Both extend up, arms straight overhead.
  3. Cup the hands as if holding a flyer’s foot — one base’s outside hand under the heel, inside hand under the ball of the foot. Other base mirrors.
  4. Hold ten seconds. Repeat five times.

What to look for: Arms LOCKED straight. Bent elbows can’t hold an extension. Feet shoulder-width apart, weight on the balls of the feet.

Variation: Once the position is solid, add a flyer in stages — first just standing in the bases’ hands at chest height, then progress to shoulder height, then full extension.
