Bases who don’t match stances don’t stunt safely. The setup is the foundation.

Equipment needed: Mat.

Setup: Two bases facing each other, about three feet apart.

How to run it:

  1. Both bend the knees into a quarter squat.
  2. Inside foot of each base points toward the other base’s inside foot.
  3. Hands meet at thigh level, palms up, forming a “cup” for the flyer’s foot.
  4. Hold for five seconds. Check both bases are mirrored.
  5. Reset and repeat ten times.

What to look for: Symmetry. Both bases at the same depth of squat. Both hands at the same height. If one base is higher, the stunt will tilt.

Variation: Have a coach call “set” and time how fast both bases lock into matched position. Three seconds is the target.
